“Australia Promotion Day” was held with the cooperation between the Australian Embassy in Turkey and Kabatas High School. Australian Ambassador to Turkey, Marc Innes-Brown took part in the event and conducted a seminar to our students about the relations between Australia&Turkey. The students had the opportunity to learn more about the education opportunities in Australia during the speech of the high level diplomat as well.

By virtue of the event, tree donation made in memory of Australian and Kabatas High School students who took part in the Battle of Gallipoli was presented to the Australian Ambassador to Turkey.

Australian Ambassador to Turkey, Marc Innes-Brown shared the post below on his Twitter account after the program;

"Wonderful to talk to the talented students of Kabatas High School.Hoping they will study in and visit Australia!"

The Executive Board members of Kabatas East Asia & World Project submitted a letter to the Australian Ambassador to Turkey and requested his support for the articles of the Project as follows;

14. Sister school partnerships broaden students awareness of the world around them and foster life-changing educational oppportunities.

International partnerships develop cultural comprehension, sensitivity and an appreciation of a different way of life.Intercultural exchanges encourage greater competency and confidence in language learning and communication skills.

We aim to sign sister school agreements with high schools worldwide to develop friendship, promote mutual understanding and cultural awareness.

17. More than 130 million people around the world need humanitarian assistance in order to survive. This is why, for the first time in the 70-year history of the United Nations, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon convened the World Humanitarian Summit to generate commitments to reduce suffering and deliver better for people around the globe.

The Summit took place in Istanbul on 23-24 May 2016 and convened 9,000 participants from around the world to support a new shared Agenda for Humanity and take action to prevent and reduce human suffering.

The Agenda calls on global leaders and all humanitarian actors to act on five core responsibilities to prevent and reduce human suffering;

- Political Leadership to Prevent and End Conflicts

- Uphold the Norms that Safeguard Humanity

- Leave No One Behind

- Change People's Lives: From Delivering Aid to Ending Need

- Invest in Humanity

Kabatas East Asia & World Project aims to contribute to the realization of the five core responsibilities of the Agenda for Humanity by taking part in the social responsibility projects of UN, member states of UN and non govermental organisations.

We will contact UN, member states of UN and non governmental organisations for requesting to take part in their social responsibility projects for humanity to realize that purpose.
